As proof that GMR lives again, our downstate association held two legislative breakfasts – May 31 in Tarrytown and June 2 in Melville – that concluded our extremely successful 2017 local legislative breakfast program. It was the beginning of a reinvigorated GMR after several years of unfortunate inactivity.
In Tarrytown, GMR welcomed Senate Democratic Conference Leader Andrea Stewart-Cousins (35th Dist.) and staff, Sen. George Latimer (37th Dist.), Assem. Gary Pretlow (89th Dist.), Assem. Shelley Mayer (90th Dist.), Assem. Thomas Abinanti (92nd Dist.), Assem. David Buchwald (93rd Dist.), and Assem. Sandra Galef (95th Dist.). Also attending were staff for Sen. Terrence Murphy (40th Dist.) and Assem. Amy Paulin (88th Dist.).
In Melville, Sen. Philip Boyle (4th Dist.), Sen. John Brooks (8th Dist.) and staff, Assem. Alfred Graf (5th Dist.), Assem. Chad Lupinacci (10th Dist.), and Assem. Andrew Raia (12th Dist.) participated.
Staff for Senate Majority Leader John Flanagan (2nd Dist.), Sen. Thomas Croci (3rd Dist.), Sen. Carl Marcellino (5th Dist.), Sen. Elaine Phillips (7th Dist.), Assem. Steven Englebright (4th Dist.), and Assem. Michael Fitzpatrick (8th Dist.) also were at the Melville event.
