Governor Andrew Cuomo officially announced on January 4 his nomination of Linda Lacewell, his Chief of Staff, to replace outgoing Dept. of Financial Services (DFS) Superintendent Maria T. Vullo, who is slated to leave DFS by the end of January.  Ms. Lacewell was an assistant U.S. attorney in Brooklyn before joining the NYS Attorney General’s office under then-AG Cuomo in 2007.  She has held various positions in Governor Cuomo’s administration since he assumed the governorship in 2011.  More details are available HERE.
